I have been informed today that Governor Polis’ recent executive order mandating the shut down of all non-life threatening medical, dental and veterinary surgeries and procedures as well as other non-essential close contact services until April 30th, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic applies to acupuncture offices.
Due to this, I have been informed that I must close my office for acupuncture treatment starting Monday, March 23rd, 2020, and I will do so. I have really struggled with this decision to close or not close earlier, but my ultimate desire is to help my patients, and I decided to stay open as long as possible. With this mandate, I will have to stop. I will not be able to schedule any in-person appointments at this time. I apologize for any inconvenience this causes you. I plan to open my acupuncture clinic as soon as possible, which as of now appears to be May 1st, 2020. If I can, I will reopen earlier.
I am still able to practice herbal medicine through telehealth and have always offered herbal only consultations, which are still available over the phone or video chat. Almost everything that I treat with acupuncture, I can treat with herbal medicine. Some medications or conditions do have contraindications that limit the use of herbs.
Additionally, as I said before, my ultimate desire is to help my patients, so if during this time, you need to talk, or some health advice, I am more than happy to just listen, given any asked for advice, give you some acupressure points to use or anything else that I can do, please let me know.
Finally, I hope this finds you in good health for you and your family and loved ones, please stay safe out there, take care of each other and we will all get to the otherside.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns about anything.
Have a good night! Take Care!
